A week long happy birthday <3

This is about 2 weeks over due *bows head in shame*. I have been so incredibly busy at life. Work is keeping me in an office until about 7pm each night and then its off home to cook dinner, do washing and tidy up. Oh and possibly sneek a bit of relaxation in before the cycle begins again. Nic is also incredibly busy editing the new Derick Watts and the Sunday Blues video each night. Its a big one. Mid year MADNESS I tell you!

Woman’s Day & Banjoe’s first trip to the beach.

What a beautiful day it was. In every aspect, including the weather. I woke up to my hubby cooking a bacon and egg, mushroom and toast breakfast and a mug of fresh coffee. Glorious. We sat in our gowns munching on our breakie deciding how to spend the day and a walk on the Mouille Point promenade with the little Banjoe sounded just perfect.

We leashed up and headed out into the sunshine. Banjoe was beside himself, he met some friends, including a gorgeous beagle puppy and they rolled around on the grass before we were to introduce him to what was to be his new favorite place. We hit the beach for his first him EVER. He was slightly confused at first but it didn’t take him long to feel right at home. He sniffed the sand, climbed all over the rocks like a wild goat and splashed around in the rock pools. It was beautiful. Honestly, have you ever seen a happier dog?

My husband the drummer – The Rescu & Switchfoot at the Grand Arena.

Nic recently joined an awesome band called The Rescu. He has been playing drums for YEARS and always will I assume. If I may say so myself, he is a pretty skilled drummer. Mike and Graham (Nics new band mates) are some of the most awesome guys I have met. And Sarah, Mikes wife is just so lovely, encouraging and fun. I am so excited for all the adventures to come with these awesome new friends.

What I wore this long weekend & to our date. 09.08.12.

We had such a lovely long weekend, some of it was sunny and warm and some of it was, well, one of the worst storms in Cape Town in a long time. For the most part it was cold and wet, A LOT of time was spent snuggling on the couch. Nic and I went on a date on Wednesday night to the lovely Pepenero in Mouille Point. We had sushi, steak with mushroom sauce, 1KG of Prawns, coffee and many a chat about the future of the Smal’s. EXCITE.
