{REVIEW} KURO-Bō – an Eco-Friendly 100% natural way to filter water.

There has been much speculation about the quality of the water in Cape Town given that our dams are at an all time low. The quality of the water is in question and I am not sure wether or not that is a fact, but one can’t be too careful.

We have been drinking purified water for years in our household. Of course we have the odd glass of tap water here and there but filtered fridge water is definitely our preference.. as Jordy calls it “ice water”. Nic is convinced that there are health benefits to drinking ice cold water – probably a load of nonsense but he swears that it has health benefits.

Festive shopping made easy with Toy Kingdom. #TKFestiveWishlist

Christmas shopping is not for the faint of heart. As much as I love it, I loathe it. It’s such a beautiful and happy time of the year amidst all the chaos, I love it. The one thing that stresses me out about Christmas time is buying gifts for people people I hate giving mediocre gifts. Mediocre doesn’t mean inexpensive by the way! I get my self into a total knot about spending money on something and then wondering if the person is even going to love it. I HATE giving generic, unthoughtful or useless gifts. The absolute horror of a gift I have given being banished to the ‘regift’ drawer is a legitimate fear of mine. I also find the kids quite a challenge to buy for. I was stuff for them that isn’t going to just sit on a shelf collecting dust. I was them to have toys that they are able to explore and for the most part, learn from.

{REVIEW} My first Caterpillar with Duplo.

If you have a little person in your house or you’re on the lookout for a Christmas prezzie for your first grandchild – look no further. My First Caterpillar from Duplo is just the most gorgeous thing.

The recommended age is 1.5 – 3 years and although Micah is a bit younger – he could spend ages playing with a box of Duplo. The colours and the sounds of the blocks clanking against each other make for some great explorative and fine motor skills play.

The Deryan bed tent. For such happy campers.

I absolutely LOVE the Deryan range of products, they are really made with kids in mind but are so incredibly practical too. We adore this particular product, the Deryan bed tent.

As glorious as summer is, it comes with pesky mozzies – something I don’t think anyone on this earth is a fan of. Mozzie nets are beautiful for a baby’s bedroom but this is just so much more fun for a toddler bedroom, don’t you agree? Jordan is obsessed.

{VIDEO} Creating stories with Duplo.

One thing we love about Duplo is the endless possibility to use your imagination and to create. Whilst building sets are so wonderful, I love the fact that kids can use a combination or sets and individual blocks to create their own stories and ‘play scenes’ so effortlessly.

I have (without him knowing) watched Jordan playing with his Duplo blocks in his room and getting completely caught up in a little world of his own. Sometimes he’s an ice-cream truck driver and other times a pilot. Mostly he is a combination of both and more because the product allows for that. Every set can be used with the next and is so encouraging of free play and imagination. Micah also loves sitting with Jordan in his room and playing with the blocks while Jordan builds things.
