{REVIEW} KURO-Bō – an Eco-Friendly 100% natural way to filter water.

There has been much speculation about the quality of the water in Cape Town given that our dams are at an all time low. The quality of the water is in question and I am not sure wether or not that is a fact, but one can’t be too careful.

We have been drinking purified water for years in our household. Of course we have the odd glass of tap water here and there but filtered fridge water is definitely our preference.. as Jordy calls it “ice water”. Nic is convinced that there are health benefits to drinking ice cold water – probably a load of nonsense but he swears that it has health benefits.

{RECIPE & WIN} Moroccan vegetable & Chick Pea Curry. #FoodLoversFestive

I am LOVING sharing these recipes with you all. I absolutely adore cooking as it is and since becoming vegan I have had an absolute ball experimenting in the kitchen and trying new recipes. I went to visit my Grandparents the other day and my Grandma had a lovely book called ‘Heavenly & Healthy foods‘. I stole a few recipes from it and I am sharing one with you today.

This is the epitome of a balanced meal. There is SO much goodness in this meal and it is so incredibly tasty. The kids loved it and it made the most massive pot I have half of it frozen in the deep freeze for a lazy day.

So as part of my collaboration with Food Lover’s market, I am sharing some of my favourite vegan recipes with you. Food Lovers market is a absolute heaven for me, Nic and I spent close on 3 hours in the Tokai branch this morning. I walked out with the biggest trolley of fresh fruit, veggies, a fresh HOT loaf of bread, some new kitchen cloths, tons of nuts, jelly beans and dried fruit. They literally have everything there.

{RECIPE} My favourite Bulgur wheat salad with #FoodLoversFestive

I have just started a new series on the blog which I am ridiculously excited about and I’m sure you will be too since so many of you have recently been asking me to share my recipes. I am going to be sharing some delicious vegan meals with you and I will also be giving away a R500 Food Lovers Market voucher each month. Rad.

I could quite happily spend my entire salary at Food Lovers Market in one swift visit to be honest. Bread, fresh juice, sweets, nuts and dried fruit, fresh ready made meals, meat, cheese, fish, doughnuts, pantry groceries, fresh fruit and veggies paired with amazing savings and specials on the regular. I could spend 3 hours pottering around Food Lovers, I treat it as an outing, not a grocery shop.
